Chevrolet Camaro still Outsells Rival Ford Mustang

2011 Chevrolet Camaro is still outselling the Ford Mustang, clearing 19,972 sales compared to March 19 Mustang 15,419. Both cars easily surpassed the Dodge Challenger, sold very well through 9,742 units in the same period. This is the second year in a row (well, so far this year, at least) that the Camaro was able to strong sales figures than the Mustang, which exceeded last year for the first time since 1985.

Successful GM Chevrolet Camaro figures could be due to its relative novelty in the pony car stable, having debuted in 2009. The Mustang has undergone only minor changes in their external appearance since its redesign in 2004, has cooled and stored in the engine compartment. To help boost sales Camaro, Chevrolet says the V6 will have a capacity of 11 shots this summer, taking the base Camaro for a total of 323 horses.

With such a large advance sales, it seems unlikely that the Camaro will be made before the end of the year, despite Ford's revised transmission options for 2011 and limited production Mustang Boss 302 retail executives soon.
